Job Overview
We’re looking for a creative and results-driven Social Media Promoter to take our brand’s online presence to the next level. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing strategies that grow our community, increase brand visibility, and drive engagement across social platforms. The ideal candidate is a storyteller who thrives at the intersection of strategy and creativity – someone who dreams of content and crafts campaigns that turn followers into fans. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies that align with Indabazi’s business goals, focusing on audience growth, brand visibility, and engagement
Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written) across key platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and LinkedIn
Monitor, listen and respond to our audience to cultivate meaningful interactions that build community and drive customer engagement and loyalty
Plan, execute and optimise paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok to achieve the highest possible ROI
Analyse social media performance using analytics tools; use data to adjust strategies, optimise content and improve engagement
Create and maintain a detailed content calendar that outlines what content will be posted, when, and on which platforms
Stay up to date with social media trends, algorithm changes and industry best practices to keep Indabazi ahead of the curve
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency across all social channels and that social efforts support broader marketing initiatives
Provide regular reports on social media performance with data-driven insights and recommendations for improvement
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Haves:
Proven experience managing social media platforms for a brand or organisation
Excellent writing, editing and communication skills in English
Demonstrable knowledge of social media best practices, trends and analytics tools
Familiarity with paid social media advertising on platforms like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the social media function
Strong understanding of the South African social media landscape and its audiences
Creative thinking, attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience in community management and influencer outreach
Knowledge of video editing software and/or graphic design tools like Canva
A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Active personal presence on platforms like TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn
Conversational ability in Zulu or other South African languages
